Yes, I have a large family. I am the youngest of 9. My oldest brother was a Marine. After him, that brother joined the Army and they denied him because he was playing tackle football in the street (he had a broken wrist at the time) which damaged his elbow and gave him nerve damage. The doctor who saw him after he fell misdiagnosed him and the nerve atrophied. It was caught by another doctor but he lost movement in his arm by that time. My brother was in the Air Force in Texas, Laughlin AFB I think. He worked on ejection seats for aircraft I think. My sister joined the Navy and was a corpsman. Me? I followed behind her and got hurt and well, that was enough for a lengthy hospital stay and quite a scare for my family. The Navy had enough of me and gave me an honorable discharge and a handshake and said have a nice life. Pop? He served in Korea on a converted destroyer escort. He worked in the engine room. Pop was a good guy, miss him. He passed away in 2014. I'll never forget that time.
